Another $1.4 million would pay for around-the-clock foot patrols by two dozen new park rangers. Though unarmed, these rangers have the authority to enforce rules in and near public spaces that have been the sites of some of the shootings or other violent altercations.”

How do they expect unarmed 'rangers' to enforce rules against violent individuals that have no qualms about murdering other people?
