What bbq setup is best for smoking?

I have a weber kettle which seems to suffice. But it needs a lot of maintenance throughout a 6+ hour cook and have issues maintaining temp

I want something where I can load the coals and wood and almost forget about it entirely until it's done

Never had an issue smoking 6hrs in a Weber kettle. Just gotta stack the coals properly and crack the vents open a smidge.

Otherwise I've heard great things about those green eggs. Traegor if you're looking to impress the neighbors.

The one you're most comfortable with. Can be anything from a converted webber grill , to a big green egg or the little mini-fridge sized ones. Just research how big of meat you'll be smoking and go from there. From personal experience buy something slightly larger than you think you need so you have room to grow into bigger amounts.
