The "peaked in high school" meme is just that: a meme.

People that were cool in high school generally stay cool throughout life. That fantasy of the losers and nerds getting their revenge is just that - a fantasy. It's a reddit circlejerk meme, similar to introverts and being "asexual"

The same personality traits - charisma, charm, and confidence - are what allow people to succeed in life. Combined with good looks/genetics, it's the same essential things that dictated the hierarchy back in high school.

The guys who were nobodies back on campus will never become the popular guy. Not in college, or in the workplace.

Not to burst your bubble, you might be right about the majority of people, but I know of an exception to this rule.

My friend Philip was controlled by his parents in high school, forced to get straight As and do his homework. Once he turned 18 and graduated high school, he grew his hair halfway down his back and got more girlfriends than anyone else I know except for a Casanova type I also know.

There is no way this is true, a lot of the “cool” kids in highschool are absolute bums now. I can name over 15-20 of them right off the top of my head.

Not true that cool kids in high school remain cool. But it is true that if you are not cool in high school you aren't going to be a baller as an adult.

There's lots of cool kids in high school that are fugly deformed short and their chips get cashed in as adults.

Very few if none. The ones who became cool and successful seem to be the ones who were of average or slightly above avg looks, with medium popularity. Normal kids who had a gf or two throughout highschool but a strong desire to get better. Those are the ones I see killing it (25 years old now)

Legit nearly all of “highschool cool kids” are extreme bums now. Smoke weed all day, live with their parents. Never expanded their social bubble, reminiscing on highschool days etc.

The very few of them who do move on to stay cool usually only do so if they play sports in college, and a lot of them fizzle out hard after that.

Depends where you live I think. When you get older money is pretty important and so if you went to a school in a well off area where the cool kids had rich parents then yeah those guys are probably still like that when they get older.

But if you went to a school in a poor neighbourhood then everyone's parents are probably poor. Then the non cool kids who put in the work and got in good careers and made money were able to get out of those ****ty neighbourhoods and make money and whatever else. The cool kids peaked generally and are working in construction, probably gained a bunch of weight and now they're fat, broke, ugly (no matter how good your genetics if you're poor you will look like **** at 40 because of poor upkeep) and depressed.

This 1000%. Most libs were massive losers their entire life. So social media gave them a voice so instead of cutting themselves now they talk about soy **** with other fat green hair life long losers.

Every dude who was decent looking, popular and SMART in high school is crushing life, the only ones that are "losers" now were cool losers in high school, stoners, dumb jocks etc.
