Canadian brahs: what happened to Crystal Castles?

last I heared was Ethan Kahn getting #metoo'd in 2017

after that no news, nothing on their social media

even after Alice Glass left their latest album with new singer Edith Frances was awesome (this kinda proving Kahn was the brain behind it all lol)

did they just quit?

one of the greatest band of the millennium imo, sad

Haven't heard anything since those accusations.

Not sure about CC, they were pretty unique..... another Canadian band I wish would release something new is Woodhands... the drummer is with Rural Alberta Advantage (great band) and I’m pretty sure the lead singer is an epidemiologist now.

dasitmane

TR/ST is also an amazing Canadian artist, saw him live in Amsterdam a couple months before the 'rona

missed out on Crystal Castles in Brussels in 2016 because a friend of mine just had a serious fracture and was in a wheelchair at the time so we said we'll catch them next time.... there will be no next time smh

That's nice man.

TBH a lot of Canadian stuff just get pushed to people's ears because of the CRTC, not musical merit. There's nothing really unique about Canadian music culture, moreso people trying to copy or fit in with Americans.
