Zyzz was just a kid. Barely articulate. First of his kind though
I remember watching this back in 2011 and thinking it was the most motivational ****.
Now with it coming up to ten years since his passing, I watch this not as an insecure 17 year old but as a 27 year old man and all I see is a kid spouting whatever pop-motivation springs to his head, stuttering over his own words, etc.
Is this how older people felt about Zyzz at the time? If you bought into all the "Zyzz is a greek God" hype you might not want to watch this, your memories will be shattered.
Go in instagram and you see this sort of thing from teenagers/early 20-somethings everywhere. I guess Zyzz was the first of his kind, a trailblazer in the fitness influencer world.

Agreed. Looked up to him back in the day even though I was a cpl yrs older he was inspiring. Now, RIP to the goat and all but he was going too hard and it was bound to end dangerously. Like every lame his age, I’m his own mind he was invincible.
This body holding me, be my reminder here that I am not alone.
Makes me feel eternal, all this Pain is an Illusion.

Wasn't he 22 when he died?
I was never aware of him other than the viral pics.
These are the physique that got me heavy into calisthenics (do you guys remember the trend?). Was pretty down that I didn't look like this guy and thought I had terrible genetics. I didn't even know what steroids were.

That's a good thing that you can look back on stuff like that and cringe, not just at the video but at yourself. Means you've grown since then. Hopefully in ten years you'll look back and cringe at the 27 year old version of yourself. The real sad ones are the ones who never progressed past those stages/phases and just seem to remain forever stuck at a mental age that doesn't match their biological age.

Damn it's been 10 years already. I find this strange because....considering this was 2011 (infancy of Youtube/social media) Zyzz never really had many videos of him talking other than a few webcam videos and the road trip video. If he was alive, I could see him being more famous than Jeff Seid or Simeon Panda.
