I play with it for a couple hours then I get bored of it.

Yes, nothing will be like the days of playing classic wow with the boys with 0 responsibilities in the world in high school. Now I just get bored after playing 1/2 way through a game.

Normally don't get bored of new releases until 1/2 through the game.

I only game 2hrs before bed anyways.

FPS players tend to lose interest in FPS games because the games are 'not intelligent.' Point and click games aren't as fun. We call them 'twitch based games.' As you get older you aren't engaged in twitch reactions. Rainbow Six is probably one of the more thought provoking games as it often has actual military tactics involved whereas CSGO is Quake Arena XV.

MOBA or RTS is usually where FPS players go for their new fix. RTS is much harder than MOBA but MOBA is more 'lively.'

If you were like me who moved past FPS as a teen and into RTS you start trying to find other strategy games like TD or Card -- but those lose flair within a week or two after you figure out the strategies.

Then you end up going to psychological games... and eventually into... not really games but more like tool kits like Rock Smith, Shenzhen I/O or thoughtful deception games like Among Us.

Board games are often what you start to look into if you have like-minded individuals who live near you/willing to play with you. You can do this on VR too.

I bought Imperator and Fallout New Vegas in the last 6 months. Got 600 hours into the 1st one and 150 hours into the 2nd.


But I'm always confused when people report clocking in 1,000 to 2,000 on Steam. Either they're lying or they pause the game (without quitting) and leave it on for hours each day.

i play mostly on weekends. rather watch tv/movie tbh. to me games are way to big. plus there are so many menus with in menus and options for everything. blows my mind. and being only a casual ill forget half the **** by the next weekend then have a hard time getting back into the game. ive had xbone with gamepass for a year and only beat 2-3 games. then i have a bunch of started or half finished games. **** is to complicated now or maybe its just cuz im always smoking and drinking when im playing plus older. i cant keep up with all these young nerds who pound back energy drinks.

I love the classics but most of these new games are pretty whack, what happened to the days of getting good games that anyone could enjoy all the time? Most of this chit is aimed at hardcore nerds and leftist freaks.

Nah that's nostalgia. Anytime I play some 10+ year old game it's barely playable. Like Fallout 3 doesn't even have ironsights on their guns even though that's a standard for FPS shooters now.

Try playing some different types of games that require strategy, or stealth, etc. Lots of amazing games are very, very cheap on Steam. I bought Death to Spies and it's expansion for like $3 and it is a really great game.

I'm in agreement with the fact that games are just chit these days. Companies and corporations too concerned with engagement metrics and figuring out the best way to enslave their customers to a behavioural psychological skinner box in which we are in constant need of a dopamine hit at just the right timings to keep us engaged.

Games like ocarina of time where made with true love and are timeless because of it.

TBH it's been ages since we had a decent Blockbluster title released. Red Dead 2 was probably that except the PC version is horribly optimized, multiplayer is full of hackers / griefers and what you beat the single player campaign it's over.


Really gaming right now is waiting for Bethesda to release Elder Scrolls and hopefully not mess it up.
