The Simpsons Movie (2007) is one of the most important movies ever made

One of the most popular TV shows resulting in the culmination in the form of a big drawing movie, regardless if you enjoyed the story or not. (I thought it was good).

South Park's movie didn't draw anywhere near the same amount of business
Family Guy will never get a movie (imo, as of 2021)
American Dad will never get a movie
Archer will never get a movie (despite being better than all other animation shows imo)
Futurama had direct to DVD movies that didn't really draw that well
King of the Hill never got a movie
Bob's Burgers...has a movie that will come out soon but it won't be a big popular draw

You were alive for one of the biggest TV/movie events if you saw The Simpsons Movie in theaters or streamed it illegally at the time.
RUTHLESS AGGRESSION

That movie is hysterical. I’m not a big movie watcher but that’s one I can watch again and again

Simpsons had been terrible for years by the time the film came out. Most people thought it breathed new life into the show since it was surprisingly funny and watchable, but the series continued on worse and worse.

South Park movie was genius.

Also, Beavis & Butthead Do America was better than all those listed in this thread.

Yeah it was good.

But I was 13 when I somehow convinced my dad to take me and my best friend to see the South Park movie. Right around uncle fukker, in the middle of our nonstop laughter, my dad looks over at us and is just like “i should not be taking you guys to see this”. Then we got to finish what was the funniest movie I have ever sat through.

South Park movie was genius.
Even when that movie was released the show should have ended about a decade ago.

I do agree it was above average comedy for the simpsons even back then.

I find it kinda mind blowing how 2007 is closer to 1995 than it is to 2021, 1995 at the time seemed to distant

I remember the day it came out and my friends planning to go and watch it
