What's up with fat people teaching P.E.?

I remember back in school one of my P.E. teachers was fat as **** and probably couldn't even run a 15-minute mile. What's up with that? I don't see how a person who isn't in good shape themselves is in a position of authority to lecture others on health and fitness.

Anyone else experience this?

How abut when you see "personal trainers" who are skinny/fat training other fat people.

in high school I had a PE teacher that was obese af, in his 40s but it was more like "offensive lineman fat". He was probably like 6ft close to 300 lbs. He was a freak of nature though because he played college football down in America.

Remember he put 365 on the bar in bench press and repped that chit with ease, whole gym class was mirin. He would also smoke everybody in 40 yard dash and finish faster than all the twinks in a 2 mile run we would do once a week.

prob not quite the example you're looking for but he was fat af though, lol.
