Just LOL if you aren't Collagen Maxxinnnngggg

Collagen is a protein responsible for healthy joints and skin elasticity, or stretchiness. It’s in your bones, muscles, and blood, comprising three quarters of your skin and a third of the protein in your body.

Been supplementing with collagen for months, no difference in joint pain or anti aging effects. I think collagen supplements might be overrated.

From what I read your body barely absorbs any of it.

collagen is good if youre over 25

it tightens wrinkles. grows new hairs etc

women only took it for longest for some reason. but it works great for guys too

I take it every morning in my coffee

For joint gains you really need type 2, and not the stuff with a bunch of them mixed together. Type 2 collagen was the only thing that helped my knee feel decent enough after I had my meniscus done. But if you really wanna up your gains, work bone marrow in your stack.

that's topical collagen, and yeah, your skin doesn't have a great way to absorb and utilize it on the surface.

has to be ingested

pretty sure you just break down the collagen you ingest into it's basic amino acids and your body uses those where needed. adding more collagen to your diet doesn't increase the body's creation of it elsewhere.

tl'dr just get enough proteins and chit.

OP is correct with this info. I'm skeptical about powdered collagen supplements but would absolutely recommend bone broths including joints for dem der collagen gains. Fish bones are good too e.g. calcium in canned sardine bones and they soft as fuk.

Mirin join date. Don't want to dig too much into personal info, but if you've been here since 2004 you're probably pretty old.

How's your skin, joints and such holding up? I imagine someone already decent won't see any active benefit.
All truth passes through three stages. First, it is ridiculed. Second, it is violently opposed. Third, it is accepted as being self-evident.
