Why does it seem like anal is so popular now?

Seems like most people openly talk about it these days...before 2012 it was a taboo subject.

I think because having sex regularly is the new norm (brb get on tinder and setup a ONS in a day) and so the appeal fades, but anal is like a whole new sex experience.
