Do you have a Traeger or Pit Boss

I’ve heard good things about both so either will probably be a good purchase. Money isn’t an issue, but at the same time I don’t want to spend the extra for a Traeger if the positives are negligible.Any input or advice on things to consider?

The best average reviews I have seen are for Camp Chef. I do not have experience with any pellet cooker yet so take my post with a grain of Texas rub.

Everyone on youtube has a Pit Boss so I imagine they give a lot of grills for free so they can charge a premium price.

When I lived with my older brother he had a traeger I would use all the time. Since he moved out I don't have a pellet grill anymore but im looking into getting a pit boss platinum vertical pellet smoker. I haven't used a pitboss yet but the thing about traegers is that they were first in the game and their patent ran out so now everyone can copy them. The way they all work is pretty simple so I dont think theres a whole lot separating the two brands other than brand name recognition.

Its definitely something I would like to be able to use again. For like $400 you can get a pretty easy to use and versatile smoker/grill. Pellets are dirt cheap and I would use it in place of the oven to cook chicken, stuffed clams/mushrooms, pizza etc. Cheaper than buying propane or hardwood for a traditional side box smoker. Overall I wouldnt say its a bad idea to get one. pellet smoker and an outdoor flat top griddle is the goat combo
