Was gifted "The four agreements"

Received a copy of "The four agreements" as a late birthday present from a friend. Anyone here read it? Worth the read?

I think it's worth a read but a little simplistic, and I've seen volatile people use it in a manipulative way. It's a quick read and probably has something you can take from it.

A former boss of mine based her entire business around that book, and when she'd go bonkers and people would tell her she was being a mean crazy person, she'd go off on "don't take things personally, read the Four Agreements again" lol. There's an entire section around not taking things personally.
