Whats lake city area Like? How's the schools, jobs, way of life? I need out of Massachusetts in a bad way and got my eye on down south. What do?

It's basically south Alabama lol. go a little more south to Gainesville if you have to move to that area

I live outside of the city now, but I grew up in a hick part of Mass, so I actually prefer the laid back slow country vibe.

If OP is looking for a "cleaner" version of lake city meaning not as many opiate heads but the same exact other requirements (low col, cheap housing, schools) then there are plenty of other small towns in Northern Florida that fit the bill.

i never been there except driving by, so if the other people say theres lots of druggies then better be careful what neighborhood/area you pick

I live all the way in South Florida so I am not too familiar with areas that far north. Went to school in Orlando and you can find very nice areas with good schooling and affordable COL. Tampa is still my favorite place in the state, so if you haven't, you may want to look there as well.
