If you had to buy another citizenship what would be your top choice(s)?

Whenever I get fed up, stressed or whatever I always daydream about expatmaxxing. It's one of my ways of coping. Just keep wageslaving for this goal.
I know grass is always greener blah blah my backyard is beautiful (vancouver) but I'm so sick of this clown world right now.
Either I find the perfect place(which probably doesn't exist, the issue is probably within myself) or I just kaczynskimaxx and build my own cabin in the middle of nowhere.

Any travelbrahs out there that wanna share their experiences?

Have not travelled to EU at all, was going to do a trip from west to east and also hit up scandanavia but COVID is delaying it.

I have only been to Thailand, Taiwan, a few provinces in China, Singapore, Japan and Korea.

It was a great experience, the exchange rates were great and I lived and ate like a King. However, infrastructure was kinda sketchy, except for Singapore/Japan.

Japan really stood out for me, it was very clean and people were very well mannered. I could picture myself settling down there.

Singapore was pretty cool too but small.
Security singled me out of a huge crowd and made me scan my luggage for drugs or sum chit lol thank phuc no one planted weed or anything, you get the death sentence over there they don't mess around.

Belgium brah checking in.

I've done a fair amount of travelling in Europe, and I can relate to OP.

As soon as I'm able to convince my gf to move out of the country it's either gonna be northern Sweden or southern part of Switzerland.

If I can't convince her I'll go alone.

I'd keep my USA citizen ship because am retired military. Honestly I'd go live in El Salvador or Ecuador, but the remaining of my family wants to return to Thailand. So I will.

For a couple of weeks Moldova was selling their passport for $120K. It was quite a steal until the European Union forced them to stop.

The real tea is if your UK / Can / Australian / Etc - you don't necessarily need any European passport. You can draft around on a visa exempt or get a residency permit.

100% German. If not available, maybe Norwegian or Swiss. You can travel without restrictions to probably anywhere in the world. And even if you don't want to travel, they are the top tier countries to live in.

Exactly. And even for those night-clubs, they do that because too many ******* foreigners caused trouble. If you're fluent in Japanese they still let you in. Just lol @ how people think japan is racist when it really isn't.

If you were digital nomad or didn't have to work then I would love to live in Tuscany, it's my absolute favourite place to visit. Amazing food, wine and aesthetic buildings and vistas.
