Anyone else disappointed with The Falcon and Winter Soldier?
Definitely didn't feel like it lived up to its hype.
- Winter Soldier can keep up with Cap but not with some generic powered kid
- Winter Soldier can keep up with Black Panther but has hard time with Dora Milfs
- woke
- racism
- Sam's sister pissed off he got snapped out of existence for 5 yrs
- bad white military guy
- bad white military guy has better story arc than the main characters
- Falcon's new suit protects everything except the part where if shot it would be instant kill
- don't call terrorists terrorists they're just misunderstood
- brb terrorists peacefully blowing up building with civilians, but John Walker is bad for taking out one of them when they kill his partner
- stupid plot
- stupid ending
- whole show didn't really need to happen
Spoiler!

Nail ---> Head
Can't argue a single one of those points.
I mildly enjoyed it, but was definitely disappointed for all the aforementioned.

Ok...I didn't really read as deeply into as you did. I just didn't like how they made Bucky into a fuking bitch. They should have called it Falcon and Bucky, cause I didn't see the winter soldier once. The Winter Soldier would have slept all of those *******s with ease. The show should have been two more episodes to reconcile everything they left up in the air. All the tension created in the first 5 episodes and then just let if fall off like that with so many questions was ridiculous.

I was disappointed that the falcon dude’s HTC sister didn’t steal his wings during the night and fly around dropping fudge snakes on cars in the neighborhood

Zemo and Walker were right and had the best arcs. Sharon Carter looked bloated and silly. Bucky was severely nerfed. (brb the world's top assassin for decades can't beat random people who just got powers.) Even if their powers were equal to his, his skill would annihilate them. Falcon fighting fist to fist with super soldiers who could punch a hole in his chest with one solid punch.
Falcon decides to side with terrorists who demand free stuff just do he can tell the white man that he needs to do better. When said white man asked him "ok, then what's your plan?", he said that he didn't know but just do better! haha
Probably a whole hour of the series having them play Forrest Gump fixing up the boat. Bucky hitting on Falcon's 3/10 sister???
Did I miss anything? In WandaVision, they tried to make a woman who physically and emotionally enslaved and tortured an entire town (including children) so badly that they were pleading to be allowed to die simply because her robot boyfriend died into the victim of the story. And the mean white male who called her out as the villain was arrested.
HONK HONK.

Fell off with F&WS, still watching Invincible.
Is it over now? Once it's done I'll rip thru them.

Fuk Marvel and Disney.
They latched onto corporate wokeness a long time ago and that anchor will ensure they do nothing good or ruin any happy accident like the Mandalorian. Which I haven't watched, because fuk Star Wars too after The Last Jedi.
If you don't like super wokeness, every story about poor black people and mean white ones, with women being the bestest and such, and none of you do, then let Disney know by saying nothing. Stop buying their chit, stop thinking about it. Fuk them.
Dump Disney+ and go get a big pizza that month, way better value for dollar there.

I loved the show. LOVED it.
I happen to have followed comic books - specifically marvel- my whole life so I was impressed how they used several different comic stories from several different decades to make a somewhat cohesive story. for example,
Isiah bradley the old man - his story was printed in 2003 in a series 'Truth: Red white and black'

which told the same narrative of being the test subject of the super soldier program prior to cpt america getting it.
his grandson in the show is currently in the young avengers setting up 'Patriot' for that team.

the US Agent was nicely added to the show - in the comics he basically just loses it and starts killing people in the comic and steve rogers had to come back and kick his ass. so to me, watching how they used these characters together in a new way to retell established comic stories was pretty cool to me at least.
as mentioned before sometimes marvel is inconsistent with how they present the strength and abilities of the characters. for example, spiderman beat up falcon and the winter soldier at the same time in civil war but struggled to fight michael keaton as vulture for a full movie.
I didnt like how sharon was now a villian with no real explanation of how she got there. she could be a skrull or even working for general ross but we wont know for a number of years i guess.

I knew I’d never watch this when my friend who has the IQ of a grape told me how good it was. Just last night he was telling me how good ‘the plot’ of the new mortal combat was huehuehue
I haven’t even seen it and I already know it’s terrible from that alone. He’s a good dude but a huge simpleton.

The best scene was the shield vs neck one for sure. LOL at worrying about realism in a comic book show though. If you want to see real fighting watch the UFC. If you want to see real war scenes watch Saving Private Ryan or something like that.
Winter Soldier is holding back and he's old now so I guess he's more vulnerable. The generic powered kid clearly has training and is the leader of the organization, plus she's young. And of course the real reason is they want eye candy fighting for views. You'll notice most of the shows have something for everyone now.

Bucky was holding back, he wasn’t trying to kill these punks. Only part I hated is that he never used the metal arm
-Some people say good things come to those who wait, truth is, good things come to those who work..... who work later.....who work harder...... who are willing to go further than anyone else to get them. If you're waiting for good things to come to you, you'll be waiting for a pretty long time.

Yeah it was a huge disappointment with the main problem being they could have been a lot more nuanced with all those plot points and it would have been better.

"The flowers bloom, then wither... The stars shine and one day become extinct. This earth, the sun, the galaxies and even the big universe, someday will be destroyed. Compared with that, the human life is only a blink, just a little time. In that short time - people are born, laugh, cry, fight, are injured, feel joy, sadness, hate someone, love someone. All in just a moment. And then, are embraced by the eternal sleep called death."

it was a test AFTER steve rogers to recreate the super soldier program because the original doctor died so they forced Isiah and 300 black dudes into an experiment and pretty much did to him what was on the show

But it is what it is. Felt like they were trying to do too much in 6 episodes.
Also, Daredevil, Punisher, and Luke Cage...the GOATest Marvel shows so far. Shame they never made it to MCU.

The bigger problem was they rushed the fck out of it. Didnt build up to them actually turning into terrorists. 1 second their idealist with no blood on their hands, next theyre killing a bunch of people who have nothing to do with their cause, with no explanation how they got there

The best parts of the show were probably Walker and Zemo and I have a feeling that is not what they intended.
