Probably because we just don’t understand how it really makes someone who’s self conscious about it feel. I try not to give input on it for that reason, I’m just grateful I probably won’t experience it.

If I start balding I will go Al Capone/Tony Soprano/Richard Kuklinski mode, I’ll slick back what I have left. Lots of examples of boxers and gangsters from the 20s-40s who would slick their receding hairlines and they pull of the look well. I really don’t like the look of a shaved bald head, when someone has a full head of hair and they get a buzzcut that looks fine usually. But when you are already balding and you buzz it or shave it with a razor I just think that looks awful.
