Rotator Cuff Injury

I have slight pain in my right shoulder when benching. It’s not terrible but it does feel like I could do more damage if I’m not careful.

I always warm up by doing small and large circles with my arms pointing straight out.

Is there anything I can do to help repair any injury that may be there or am I just going to have to wait for natural healing? I don’t think it’s bad enough for surgery, and I certainly don’t want it to get there.

Thanks
There is no they…

I was careful with my range of motion and stopped benching for a while. I wanted it to have time to fully heal and it did. No regrets.

look up supraspinatus exercises, give yourself a break from benching. Use a heating pad to draw blood to the area to promote healing.

I would let it rest and stay away from any exercise that aggravates it until it heals. I didn't heed that advice and now my right rotator cuff is fully torn.

I never went in for surgery, but lucky for me, it must be a minor tear because I have zero strength loss. However, my doc said it'll be like a worn out rubber band. If I keep pushing it, eventually it'll tear some more and any further damage will be catastrophic. So now I don't do any free weight benching and other exercises I use to rely on like dips.

Don't be like me. Let it rest.
