Why the f**k do you guys want to retire early? SRS

As if any of you at 45 to 55 are gonna travel and see the world and enjoy like. Your gonna sit at home and watch Doctor Oz. Spend some money and have some kids.

God the lives of Americans are soo sad and pathetic. Imagine saving your pennies in your 20's and devoiding yourself of such life-affirming moments as banging two aussie sloots on the beach in Croatia, or take a risk and build your own business.

Your f**king losers and you f**king know it.

I would love to retire early. The things I enjoy doing aren't profitable.

who wants to have bad knees and bad back and work?

retiring at 45 is ideal

I doubt our generation will do that. most people I talk to don't have a 401k and there like 25-28

then again its easier to make $ in our life time. people just profited 500k off dogecoin by dropping few grand

I understand that.

Shouldn't u be bettering yourself with a new business or career then? Instead of just wanting the pain to end?

I can’t speak for everyone else, but my reason is so I can purse a labor of passion instead of just what pays the bills. The things I WANT to do might take a long time to become as profitable as to what I am making currently. If I can have the financial independence/freedom, I feel like I can finally “Live to work” instead of “work to live.”

I'll admit I'm too lazy and risk adverse to try to start my own business or whatever (if that's what you meant by "new business"), and as far as career I have a relatively chill (it can definitely get aggravating at times) job with a very good work life balance. I'd certainly prefer not to have to work, but I'm not in a bad spot career wise.

What about health insurance? that **** costs thousands a month in the US when you get older.

You will always have to be a wagecel in the US.

Corporate America is turning into a Woke Joke.

Diversity and Inclusion Training, Virtue Signaling. Fuk that.

Age 52, I have 13 years left, could retire now, but would be bored. I just put blinders on and do what I need to do.

It really just sounds like you don't have any idea of how to live. I know someone that retired at 52. His days are essentially spent:

-Lifts in his home gym (its probably about 400 square foot, stand alone building) 3 days per week. Either jogs or rides a bike other 3 days.
-Rides ATVs/goes boating/jetskiing, or rides his harley.
-Every Friday/Saturday night he either takes his kids and their spouses/grandkids out to dinner at a restaurant. Or has them over to his house. He has a large outdoor kitchen/patio area where he BBQs/does seafood boils/ cooks. Sometimes he has friends over instead of his kids.
-Also has a massive TV/lounge area back there. Every single UFC he has friends over for beer/snacks to watch the fights.
-Spends 6 weeks out the year traveling on his Harley. East coast ride. West Coast ride. Sturgis Rally. And Daytona bike week in Florida.
-Goes on 1 cruise every year.
-Has 20 acres where he has a private fishing pond, trails to ride his 4-wheeler, and a private shooting range.
-Spends a good deal of time lounging/swimming in his pool with his wife/grandkids.

And, since he enjoys motorcycles he buys an old/wrecked bike. Repairs, paints, customizes, etc. then flips for a profit. Has his own shop in his back yard. No rush to finish the projects because he's not in debt/buys them cash. Scoops them up when he finds them, works on them when he feels like, then sells them when he's done. Also does classic muscle cars on occasion. Of course he drives those awhile before he flips them.

Dude is about 58 now and he lives pretty much the ideal high-testosterone life.

i have semi retired while working, built up so much knowledge, experience and reputation that i can basically do my full time job in less than Part Time hours and this COVID BS working from home has made it even easier to do and like getting a pay rise on the money i have saved.......i actually enjoy most of the actual job and have plenty of time to do the things i like. Mortgage long since paid off, decent level of savings and investments and a decent pension to come ...... feels good
