Just talked to small biz owner, "the entitlement of people in their 20s INSANE."

Hint: they're all leftists foaming at the mouth, usually females or soyboys.

Now I'm no company bootlicker. In fact, I'm usually one to get in hot water for calling out corporate leadership for what I see as asinine double standards.

That being said, I just got done talking to a local coffee shop owner after one of his employees kept complaining that I don't tip enough. (I typically tip at least 50 cents for a $4 cappuccino.) This b1tch said to me that tipping anything under 25% during a pandemic is unforgivable. She said this again in front of a line by the way.

Low and behold,

This coffee shop is hiring a full-time barista and has a flyer for the job opening at the counter. I was blown away to see they make $50K/year after tips...Just to make coffee/tea drinks, run point-of-sale (it's Square software, doesn't get easier than that), and do some house keeping.

Furthermore, the owner vented to me that the current staff is asking for benefits and PTO. Lol, wut? You're a fukking barista dipschit.

My parents who worked full-time (read 50-60hrs/week) corporate jobs with college degrees never made that much (before they were laid off in 2007 and went into their own businesses).

I myself, never made over $40K and I traveled the US and Italy, paid for my car in full, carry absolutely zero debts, and enjoy craft coffee on the daily.

Unreal if you ask me.

I know a few people that own restaurants/small businesses and they all complain the hardest thing is finding decent employees that actually show up to work on time and on days they are scheduled to work. They also claim the entitlement is insane. Even places that pay well above minimum wage + have tips as a side perk.

Easy to see why they vote blue and want daddy Biden to give the handouts. They've never worked hard for anything in their lives.

You're 32, you're in the same league as the 20 years olds you hate brother.

Don't hate on them.
Put them over, so they can put their next generation over and everyone benefits.

What idiot would give a tip to a coffee shop cashier.

Tips are for bars and restaurants.

This is like giving a tip to a McDonalds worker or some chit

There is a real narcissism epidemic going on, and leftists are to blame.

The problems described here are common issues when hiring leftists. Never hire a leftist, they have zero work ethic and expect everything to be handed to them on a silver platter. They also tend to bring their politics into work and have a bad attitude.

How the phuck are you going to "help a 18 year old become better?" What do you think we are, their phucking parents? These spoiled over-entitled brats won't even listen to their own parents, let alone some random 32 year old dude coming in to buy a coffee. Heck they all think they know better than everyone else anyways, it's a part of their narcissism and indoctrination. The garbage school system pumps out these retards and you expect us to fix them? Yeah i work with some. People in their 20's now days have a lot more victim mentality, narcissism/entitlement and lack of work ethic than people i grew up with in my 20's

It's all the same thing with them too. It has to be bad parenting, social media and lack of education/marxist education or something

Depends on the person. I'm 30 and just hired my first employee, 22m.

I consider this 22 year old a kid. Not even in the same league as me, I feel like today's 20 year olds are like an entire different generation even though they are just a decade apart.

I'm so strict with this kid, I've made him cry a few times, srs. (He was late on his first day, lmao)

Truthfully though, some of these kids just need a mentor. Parents now days just ain't doing it for some reason, too busy trying to survive to have kids...

I think you might be more out of touch with reality here. Sure, it's good to set an example but like others have said you're not going to override the path of least resistance ESP. when it's being encouraged by school/gov't.

Brb, I managed 15-20 young millenials and zoomers pre-covid.

Youre a manager, workers don't even like their managers. Not the same as actually helping them in life.

That must be why many of them like to hang out with me even to this day...Not even kidding. I haven't worked with them in over a year and I've hit the town with 6 or so of them on multiple occasions.

Bro, how do you think I got to be a manager? I started at the company before I was old enough to drink.

It's called the free market buddy boyo. Just lol @ 'ohh so-and-so had this and never made this much' who cares??? Imagine wagecuking for 30k instead of 50k because 'oh i'm just a barista i don't deserve to make this much' just lol. Employees will try to get as much as they can in the same way employers will try to pay as little. Zero sympathy for anybody.

Entitlement is real. The applicants in the banking sector are progressively getting worse each year with a personality disorder to match.

I had one kid who, on paper looked stellar, and has the nerve to ask me how our organization tackles mental health and he's had several episodes so he'd like to work for a company that understands this. GTFO this is banking you put in 80-100hrs a week and make 100-150k first year, fuk outta here.l yes mad
