Few questions about getting started with crypto currency (200k reps)
I want to start getting in on the doge/eth train however i have zero knowledge about cryptos besides a few videos i've wachted.
Will rep answers.
1. Do you have/use a cold wallet?
2. Do you have a separate phone/phone number just to verify your stuff? Incase people try to get your number to verify/hack your chit.
3. Do you have a separate (cheap) laptop that you only use for crypto? I've had a Remote Access Tool (RAT) installed on my old computer once where someone was able to see literally everything and it freaked me out ever since. Suddenly a random message popped up on my screen with a guy complimenting my porn collection (dead srs). I'm worried someone might be able to see my passwords etc and then steal the funds.
4. How safe are cold wallets? I read they can't be hacked, but what if they break? What happens then?
5. They say to write everything down on multiiple notepads. Do you keep 1 in your house and 1 in a bank? Like in a rented locker?
6. Anything else i need to know before i start?
Will rep for legit answers. Save me a spot on the moon!

Look up what seed phrases are and know how to keep them safe (like two copies in separate waterproof and fireproof areas). I saw stuff about a cold hard wallet. But those require usb to computer. Can't plug it into an ipad.
