They do the land acknowledgement every morning at my daughters school..."we recognize that we are being hosted on the land of..."

I honestly find the land acknowledgement offensive...we are supposedly making the acknowledgement because this land was taken from them and we use it now. To me, it is no different than some guys come to my house, throw my family out on to the sidewalk, but then open the door every morning and politely tell me "I acknowledge that I am being hosted in the house of EdwardTheGreat"

It is more correct to just shut up than to tell them "I know this is yours, thanks"
