Fauci surprised by the public outrage against him...
On Tuesday’s Jimmy Kimmel Live!, Dr. Anthony Fauci discussed the public outrage he experienced while working on the COVID-19 task force.
Fauci is the director of the U.S. National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases and the chief medical advisor to the president.
He was also publicly disregarded by former President Trump on multiple occasions.
“I never would have imagined when I was training in medicine,” Fauci said, “That we would reach a situation where there would be such extraordinary divisiveness in the country.”
The infectious disease expert was hounded for his science-based health recommendations. He was even the victim of multiple death threats. And while he has gotten used to being a public enemy to some, he doesn't really understand the animosity.
“I consider the country as my patient, metaphorically, where [I] really want to take care of them,” Fauci said, “It was a real jolt and a shock early on, when you get completely criticized and attacked because you're saying things that is trying to save the lives and preserve the health of people.”
I sometimes wonder if those last two propaganda paragraphs at the end there come naturally to the journalist, or if it needs to be "educated in". Is a journalist born a twisted, truth-hating creature, or does it need to be indoctrinated first? Probably a little bit of both, but how much of each?

Gives conflicting advise that is all over the map that in turn causes people to lose their business, livelihood and impacts peoples social well being.... and then is shocked that he is viewed negatively and hated.
If he truly cant figure it out he is the dumbest doctor in America...
...and lets not forget he doesnt even follow the advice he hands out.

Not questioning his intelligence as to medical things, but he is full potato lvl from a macro perspective. So are the ppl who gave him carte blanche to set public policy. And so are the ppl who unquestionably believe it.
There is a reason why we don't just turn over the keys to the government to DOCTORS ONLY and ask them to set policy with the #1 goal of preserving human life. Brb, 15 MPH speed limits, no fast food, etc.
On the one hand, kind of a lose/lose for Fauci, since he was basically told "do what you need to do to preserve human life" and he did that - even if wearing 5 masks only decreases odds of someone catching COVID by 0.0000000000000000000001%, that is a win with respect to the directives Fauci was given. But where Fauci goes full potato is by not acknowledging the fact that his directives (to minimize loss of life from COVID) might not sync up with reality - in fact, I don't actually think the potato realizes that.
TL;DR: If you are a hammer, everything looks like a nail

A democracy is two wolves and a lamb voting on what to have for lunch. And that's why the USA is a constitutional republic and not a democracy.

Imagine how much his feelings are hurt when he's sued for misleading statements about the vaccine.

he can't imagine why people hate him?
really? constantly imposing lockdowns which don't work and cause people to become suicidal, lose businesses/jobs, and their homes over a virus with a 99% survival rate and he can't imagine why?
You think if he were to lose his 450K a year income if the lockdowns effected his pay that he would still advocate for it?

Willing to bet you don’t respond to these direct questions and instead go off on some BS. Prove me wrong.

*"Soon you'll be ashes, or bones. A mere name at most - and even that is just a sound, an echo. The things we want in life are empty, stale, and trivial. So treat human beings as they deserve, be tolerant with others and strict with yourself.
