So my buddy:

6'1, all-American handsome, former college athlete with shredded physique and socially the life of the party. I've known him since he moved here after uni. Despite girls fawning over him and his knack for being the life of the party, he has a recent history of not being able to seal the deal with girls 1:1.

He claims this is all due to being fukked up from his HBB ex who was icequeen snowbunny and used him like a doormat. In the years I've known him, he's been an sexually inactive despite having opportunities literally thrown at him. I'm telling you, it's weird...I've made the mistake of bringing girls I'm interested in around when he waters the yard shirtless and it's game over for me even though he has been an autist with the ladies.

Fast forward to present: He met this girl through a mutual friend of ours.

She's an AF officer, also former college athlete, studying to become a doctor. She was in a relationship for 6 years with a guy. They had a house, doggo and kitty together and were supposedly on the brink of getting engaged once she figured out her residency?

My buddy decides to DM her about his crush for her knowing she's not available and long story short, she leaves her long-term boyfriend.

She gave up house, dog, and apparently will keep the cat.

Here's the kicker, they don't even live in the same state! Friend is here in my neighborhood while this girl will be spending some length of time doing her rotation/residency elsewhere.

He asks me if I think he was wrong to break up the relationship but he says he's never met a girl like this.

Idk what to tell him but the point is moot at this stage as they are already going 6 months in.
