Fresh blood after taking a dump for a week now. Should i be concerned? (srs)

I noticed bright red blood every day when i wipe. Now i'm sure we've all experienced it one day or another. Usually a small fissure at the end of the angus.
Maybe due to constipation or too big of a chit. But then it goes away after 1-2 days.

In my case, it's been every day for over a week. I read online with a lot of people saying it could be an internal hemorrhoid. But others also said they went to the doctor and it turned out to be a ''polyp''. Some that might be cancerous.

I know the misc isn't the place to ask medical advice. But how concerned should i be? Should i wait a week more to see if it will go away and just eat more fibre?
Last thing i want to do is bend over at the doctor's office.

Age? History of Colon Cancer in the family? Weight loss? Fever? Sweating? Abdominal pain?

Bright, fresh blood is usually indicative of lower, distal GI bleeding, this is to say, a hemorrhoid. But a lot of carcinomas can manifest outside of the large intestine and in the rectal cavity instead.

I would go to a specialist or at the very least a GP. This isn't something to scoff about.

If it doesn't go away in a week and/or you develop associated symptoms such as fever, sweating and pain, go see a doctor.

Had this when I was young and it turned out very badly. I also had other symptoms along with it like stomach pain and weight loss, but in these cases it's always better safe than sorry. Head to the doc quickly boyo. While it's probably nothing, the small chance it's something is not a chance you want to take.

Trust me on this.

I had bloody stool once for one whole month. thought nothing of it though as it didn't cause any discomfort or pain.
hopefully it's nothing serious.

Sounds like a hemorrhoid but have you changed your diet? A few years back I drank a ton of beet juice and next time I went to the bathroom I thought I needed to go to the ER until I made the connection.

Go talk to a Medical Doctor ASAP and maybe get a referral to a Gastroenterologist for a Colonoscopy.

Age 30, no colon cancer in the history as far as i know. No fever or weightloss or sweating. I did get weird abdminal pain like 2-3 weeks ago but it went away after 2 days. Didn't notice any blood back then. Didn't think anything of it. Not sure if it's related or just a normal stomach cramp that might occur once in a while.

No change in diet. No forcefully straining myself either. I've had hemorrhoids before but it was always external due to forcing too much. No beet juice taken.

I had it like you did for a while where every day blood was coming out. Doctor thought it was just a hemorrhoid and it eventually stopped happening every day. I think in your case it likely is a hemorrhoid but you should probably ask a doctor if you are really worried

I wouldn't jump to colon cancer based on blood alone, what he has is likely nothing. BUT colon cancer is so bad that it's not worth taking a risk.

Go see a doc, he'll jam a finger up your ass and then tell you whether or not you need a colonoscopy. If you do, no biggie if they find a polyp early. However, you wait six months and then get the colonoscopy and that polyp could have become something to worry about.

Sounds like you're getting it checked out so you'll be fine.

Up the fiber and water intake for a week, and consider washing or using a wet wipe after bowel movements.

Shouldnโ€™t be anything too serious but still worth checking out with your physician soon.

The good news is that you are outside of the expected age range of this disease, so the likelihood that it is anything serious is very low.

The bad news however is that if you do indeed test positive for cancer, the prognosis is grim for someone of your age unless it is detected very early. Yes, that is usually the trend for carcinomas of the GI - the prognosis for younger people is worse than that of older people.

I am not saying this to scare you, I am saying this to push you towards having it checked.

I had this for a while it's not serious. Could be wiping your ass too much or eating a bad diet. If the blood was dark in colour then I would be worried.

If the blood is bright red and fresh it's at the end of the tract. If it's darker red/ more purple it's coming from higher in the tract. You could be over wiping. it could be hemorrhoids, it could be anything. Best course of action is to speak to your Dr.

"Fresh blood" is highly unlikely to be colon cancer or the like. Your angus is probably just raw, but if it continues to persist then it might not be a terrible idea to get it checked out.

probably nothing as someone said

if it lasts for a few weeks it is worth getting checked out no homo. probably hemorrhoids. up your fiber and water intakes and see if that makes a difference. probably your dry af chits edge against your walls causing bleeding and keeps reaggrevating everytime you take a chit.

Had blood form my stool for a while when i was younger and went to a doctor. Was nothing just a Haemorrhoid but the examination they do isnt exactly nice.

the dad of my girlfriend had this and 7 month later he died(he didnt see a doctor and took pills to stop his diarhea which in the end killed him). i would go to the doctor.
