Just got a cisco catalyst 3650 series PoE-24

Wanted to practice some of the configure I am learning to see if it helps at all since I plan on taking my exam soon, I know packet tracer is probably a bit more useful but I have a POVERTY macbook pro and packet tracer doesn't support my POVERTY macbook SRS so I thought this might be a good alternative

BRB A giant useless paperweight SRS.

Get a cheap used computer/laptop for like $150. You really need to be able to practice in packet tracer.

I've been doing the practice questions that come with the official cert guide and overall feel pretty confident with configuration and trouble shooting and nuances of each topic like OSPF or what have you but there are still somethings that I feel like either aren't in the book or I am not sure how to apply the skills to answer certain questions been studying for a few months now so feeling very close to being able to take the exam in the next month or so but for some reason I just don't feel as confident as I should. I guess my biggest concern is that if IPv4 ends up being a large portion of the test which is possible even though I feel very confident with calculating subnet ID and broadcast ID even with VLSM and have no problem with converting to binary or vice versa I am just worried that certain questions will take longer and some won't so it will balance out but I just feel like I will run out of time and even if I get the majority of questions right since some might be unanswered I could still fail

probably over thinking this but I really wanna try switching into a network engineer type role if possible by year end since current job out look is dead and and turbo low pay SRS so I wanna get this done since I have been putting in the effort these past few months probably a few hours most days.

Will have to check that out I do recall that being mentioned before, I know for packet tracer would probably have to use virtualization but the virtualization software ( vmware, wine..etc ) both do not have an old enough version that would work on my POVERTY laptop as well as I am not sure there is an old enough version of packet tracer that would work on my computer tried updating the O.S obviously and Apple isn't even supporting this computer anymore since it's so old lol.

Repped for potentially saving my life SRS. I wanna take the test in the next month or so been putting in the work the past few months and for whatever reason I just feel hesitant to schedule it like I won't be able to get through all the questions in time or there will be something I forget and I fail I dunno.

probably just over thinking but I really need to switch jobs by end of the year SRS. I wanna get this done so I can use it to try and get a network engineer job I have no experience and even though there is nothing wrong with help desk and the pay isn't to terrible I really wanna be doing real stuff at work and not a glorified customer service rep.

No chit you'd need a virtual machine I don't think packet tracer has a mac version SRS.

I got the switch to try and set up a real lab. Currently taking advantage of xfinity's extended service set and using dat dere 802.1q for my SOHO.

Found a website that has olde versions of packet tracer with mac versions...?! trying that right now maybe I am just retarded and didn't try hard enough before going to check that also THANKS SRS. Really trying to invest in myself to do better so all the help means the world to me. We all gonna make it BOYO! The best is yet to come!
