Anyone feel like they took a 25% drop in salary due to inflation?

Even rolexes are selling double than a few years ago.

Everything is pricier.

Unofficial inflation rate is 10-15% IMO with necessities/assets (food, cars, real estate) being even higher. Just lmao at the cooked 1.4% the government is trying to sell lmao.

https://news.bitcoin.com/employer-wa...in-us-dollars/

Employer paid workers in crypto and wants it back lmao.

We are seeing the collapse of the dollar in real time. Everyone is playing hot potato with USD. No one wants to left with the bags when hyper inflation hits

The price of a few things goes up

Gov: Just a few things, the overall inflation rate is 1% though!

The price of everything is going up

Gov: Its just a base effect! Because one year ago prices were depressed a little. There isn't inflation at all

More than a year goes by since the start of the pandemic, prices more out of control

Gov: Its just temporary price increase due to supply demand! There is no inflation

Does this sum it up?

You got it.

They know the money printer's causing it, but they can't turn it off without imploding the house-of-cards debt bubble global economy they've built, so inflation it is.

Everyone: Houses, second hand cars, computers, crypto, stocks etc go up by 25-50%

Gov: Hey look over here these things no one cares about have gone up by 1.4% let’s measure the cost increase of these

Also gov: Official inflation figures just in. 1.4% CPI

Also gov: let’s print trillions and give it to foreign countries and our bankster/ corporate friends

Clothes seem to be the only thing that hasn't skyrocketed in price.

Thank fuk that I spend 99% of my income on clothes, so that my personal rate of inflation is still 1%

I was fortunate and bought My houses right at the beginning of covid during the lockdown and paid my truck off. My house as already appreciated by $100k in about a year and ive been able to raise the cost of rent. Then I started buying crypto when the government started giving out free money and that's already more than doubled in value. Still buying crypto with every paycheck

Im getting a 17% raise on my base this year, and to be honest, it just feels like Im the same as the year before (honestly, slightly less to frank), was supposed to be some special pay band increase for seniority......

rent/housing is up, chipotle is more expensive, biden wants to tax me more now too, i still have less purchasing power with my raise than 1 year ago

lmao

you mean because demand is higher than supply?

causing prices to rise?

thats inflation

companies will not simply drop prices once supply issues are smoothened out boyo

theres also a supply chain issue of trillion of dollars created out of thin air pumped into the economy through stimulus payments and unemployment payouts for workers that cannot work due to DEMOCRAT leaders locking down their state - all leading to hyperinflation

Yeah gonna switch jobs if they don't match soon.

Inflation is typically based off consumer price index, which is obviously has seen a batchit increase this year.

rolexes in general are selling higher because of supply and demand, it has nothing to do with the value of the dollar. if anything demand has gone up because people like myself are choosing to use them as a store of value in lieu of holding cash.
Lol, the reason demand is up is because there was an infusion of cash into the economy causing the stock market to explode and putting thousands into pockets of Americans. The problem is that cool spending cash the government gave you can lo longer buy that 5k Rolex you were looking at...it's not worth 8k, because the entire playing field got a stimulus payment.Thats inflation to the T.
