The biggest issue I have with watching tv since the pandemic started is the ****ty sound quality. In case you don't know about it, a lot of tv shows are being broadcasted from the homes of their hosts. Some shows with multiple hosts have it set up so it looks like you're watching a zoom meeting. What happens with a lot of news shows and morning shows etc, is they will have their guests speaking from their homes or places of work over webcams. Jimmy Fallon started out doing his show purely from home and would video call his guests, with the occasional skit filmed at some other location. He is now back to hosting in his studio with a small audience, usually with one guest in person and one on a video call guest..

Now the thing that bothers me so much about 80% of these shows with the video call guests, is they all use their ****ty built-in laptop microphones. It's one thing for a small business owner or artist promoting themselves on a local tv station to be using a ****ty microphone. But for anyone who is famous, semi-famous, or has a considerable income, who knows they are going to be on tv, it just blows my ****ing mind... Like, some of these people are millionaires, cough up a hundred dollars for decent microphone ffs.. This crap is beyond me and I cannot get over it

Haven’t had cable tv in over 10 years only got gigabit Internet and YouTube prime subscription.

It has pretty much gotten to that point. Cheap bastards though. How hard would it be for some of these people to pick up a half decent mic. My ears hurt from listening to them
