Why do people keep on trying when no one is a clear winner in history?

And universe will end as it is....

Isaac Newton died a virgin.

Bill Gates has become a subject of suspicion in the virus saga and no one cares about him being rich anymore.

Alexander and Genghis Khan killed 100s or provoked actions which killed 10000s and then died themselves, their expanded territories are of no use anymore.

Hitler became a joke few years ago.

So really what are we as human beings chasing in life really? Food?
