Are Africans taking over pro sports?

Starting to dominate the NBA more and more with guys like Embiid, Giannis, Siakam, etc

Also dominating combat sports, AJ/Ngannou/Usman/Adenasaya/etc

Also taking over the NFL

I would chalk this up to Americans becoming more entitled, lacking work ethic, and living in general a less balanced lifestyle. Did I mention a lack of discipline?

Other countries like Africa are still upholding oldschool habits and hard work as technology and media hasn't ruined their society like ours. In other words they are not afraid to sacrifice and get their hands dirty.

No it's just genetics. Africa has the shortest (pigmies) and tallest people in the world (tribes like Dinka tribe, part of an ethnic group called "Nilotes" which differ from shorter more robust groups like the Banti). Europeans certainly have tall ethnic groups, such as Dutch Scandinavians and South Eastern Slavs (serbs, croats) but the genetics are not as impressive or concentrated as in some of these African tribal groups that seemed to have really maxed out human height genetics.

Denser bones and broader skeletons on average that can support more muscle.

Africa has a lot of genetic diversity, some tribal groups will not be as impressive as others athletically. However they have very large populations and high birth rates so the more impressive African generic groups will begin to show themselves as they continue to grow population wise and have resources to get out of Africa.

Certain West Africans genetic groups (think Congo) are likely the strongest natural humans as a group. Meanwhile you have some East African genetic groups that clearly have the best genetics for long distance running among humans.

Some things you notice right away looking at black and white girls, black girls pelvises tend to sit higher in relation to legs and chest. For Africans more of the height is in their legs versus Europeans tend to have more height in the Torso above the pelvis.
There are pros and cons for each but having the African distribution is obviously better for mobility running and jumping.

You can have 1 million Chinese and they will have the same number of 6'5" people as a few thousand Dinka tribe Nilotes.

2 reasons this is happening.

1. African nations aren't as poor as they used to be so people have time to play ball instead of worrying about where their next meal is coming from

2. Black people, specifically people of west African heritage, are good at sports especially sports that require explosive athletic ability. Every person who's ever run under a 10 second 100m dash is of west African descent

They already have those things. Its not hard to eat healthy in Africa and there are already lots of portals taking Africans and injecting them into western sports programs.

Its not like the ones that get into western sports programs can't find the same kind of support that any other athlete gets.

Nigeria has more "modern comforts" now than most western countries had in 1950.
It's just their industrial economies and infrastructure that is **** which is why they are all poor. But chit is cheap these days it's not hard to buy cheap food cheap phones cheep running shoes ect. Life in general is cheap for the basics all over the world.

You are seeing more because Africa has hundreds of millions of more people than it had 50 years ago

They have been underperforming in baseball more than usual, and have hardly any representation in hockey. I'm not going to bring in the smaller sports they do well in certain sports like boxing but underperform in power sports like strongman. They also do poorly in mental sports like chess


so to answer the OP...no they are not
