Eric Clapton couldn't play guitar after getting covid vaccine....

Eric Clapton has described the “severe reactions” he experienced after receiving the AstraZenaca COVID-19 vaccine.

“In February this year … I took the first jab of AZ and straight away had severe reactions which lasted ten days,” the rocker explained in a letter to anti-lockdown activist Robin Monotti Graziadei. “About six weeks later I was offered and took the second AZ shot, but with a little more knowledge of the dangers. Needless to say the reactions were disastrous.”

Clapton went on to detail the various side-effects he experienced. “My hands and feet were either frozen, numb or burning, and pretty much useless for two weeks,” the guitarist confessed. “I feared I would never play again (I suffer with peripheral neuropathy and should never have gone near the needle.)”

Clapton blamed “the propaganda” surrounding the vaccine for what he believes was misinformation regarding its safety. The rocker has been vocal in his opposition of the English government and lockdown laws instituted around the coronavirus pandemic.

I understand your point and agree to an extent. One of the ways we can all keep ourselves in check is to strive for consistency. It’s a little more complicated than you’re making it out to be though(unless you’re just talking about the most retarded CTers and arguing against their talking points, in which case I agree 100%). I think people try to amplify the stories about negative side effects because of how much it gets ignored by mainstream media. Some may feel there is an obligation to compensate for so many ignoring it while practically offering to suck peoples d!cks if they get vaccinated. Also, the risk posed by the vaccine and risk posed by the virus varies depending on age and other factors. It’s possible that the risk/reward of getting the virus vs getting the shot actually favors getting the virus in plenty of people. For example there’s a decent chance that immunity from infection is better than immunity from the vaccine. Also, there are tons of people who get side effects from the shot that are similar to getting a mild infection. So it’s entirely on the realm of possibility that there are millions of Americans who would be better off getting the actual virus instead of getting vaccinated.



So yeah, it’s a little more complicated than most people want to think. As far as why you’re so mad upset about this thread, I don’t know. Seems like having one of the best guitarists to ever live not being able to play guitar because of a vaccine is a pretty interesting story. No need to just automatically assume it means anyone who mentions it thinks all vaccines are evil.

this is a valid point. i was just talking to a friend about it. he had your same supposition. but the fact is, there has already been so much research poured into coronaviruses like SARS/MERS that scientists already had a good understanding of how to combat it.

also, the world basically worked and financed the whole thing together with govt. regulatory bodies letting vaccine paperwork cut to the front of the line to expedite.

There is no nuance in discourse though, because of the extreme political polarization. You're either a submissive, misguided sheep or some wacko conspiracy theorist. I guess public discourse doesn't really matter, most of it occurs over social media. None of the mandates and closures were decided through voting and democracy anyways.

People are generally aware that the government is corrupt, and that private interests are responsible. This has been the case for a very long time. People are also generally aware that there are a lot of crazy conspiracy theorists online. Despite this, people are compelled to simply deny one of these two things in order to fit their political bias.

It is a total chitshow, America is so deeply divided between the two parties. It has become exceedingly easy to manipulate one side against the other. That's why our guaranteed rights and freedoms have been so easily denied without any voting or public discourse involved.

Mostly I feel for the people who have been dealing with hunger, poverty, and unemployment. Also for the public school students with stunted educations, the European protestors facing dogs, water cannons, and riot police, and the Chinese citizens who were killed by the state to contain the spread. I'm sure there are more to add to this list, but these things are not given the media attention they deserve.
