inb4 lance armstrong himself admits that running is a better workout because you can get a 15 minute run in that you need 3 hours on a bike to achieve

good luck though, biking is better than nothing

If I wanted to blast more muscles than necessary, burn a few more calories, and feel like chit I would row. Nice try...

Running cannot be replaced to develop aerobic capacity, boxers / nak muays and MMA fighters would be biking instead.

Incorrect. Take a look at the highest Vo2 maxes ever recorded. Cycling and XC skiing are the best with running coming in third for aerobic capacity. Vo2 max is a measurement of how much oxygen you can consume compared to your bodyweight. No other better measurement for aerobic fitness.

Biking is as great as running. I love it.

But.......

Bike >Run :

Distance, speed and destination
Scenic view
Seasonal advantage (Summer)

Run > Bike :

Calorie per time/distance
Cost performance (shoes)
No maintenance required
All weather
Season advantage (Winter)
Safety
Theft Free
Building bone density

I love biking but mostly trail riding and not street cycle. I hate most cardio as I get bored really quick except riding.

Be careful, you definitely want to put some resistance training in. There was a NIH article on how the femurs of cyclists thins out to adapt for maximum ergonomics. Unless you're going for pro marathon cycling, definitely include squats, lunges, leg lifts (body weight is good too, just do high rep ranges) and speed walking.

Before or after your cycling you can include this bodyweight regimen for lower body:
3x20 squats
3x20 lunges
3x20 leg lifts
1x10 burpees (can go up to 10 sets depending on how conditioned you are for burpees specifically)
That's what we do in this ****, brah.
