lol nice reps and negs, seems better than dropping like 20 bucks on each pair of grips

I gotta get some proper dumbbells, is it better to get these sets or the fixed weight ones?

I always trained with fixed weights. The adjustable dial ones are great too.

These do the job just fine. I'm actually concerned that wrapping the bars will take away from enduring reps, since it accentuates the metacarpal area. The more bare the bare is, the easier it is to hold on with just the finger tips, which can produce 2-5 reps on average you would miss. When you add muscles to a movement, you adulterate the movement. When you take them out, you isolate/concentrate it.

Hoping for the best because they do feel cool—and much superior to regular grips.

Reps to Joe Gold for coming to me in a dream with this idea.

I will give the adjustable sets a try, less expensive and takes up less space. It is a bit more work to switch them out but that ain't bad. I find at gyms that I don't end up using all the different dumbbells, I'm either working my way up to a higher weight or no longer need the lower weights.

Right now I've just got a couple barbell plates and nothing else, not even a bar. I make do with weighted calisthenics and modified lifts, it's a real redneck setup lol. It would be easier to just do standard lifts with a variety of weights.

I've bought two sets so I can make two 30lbs. I wanted to buy another set still so I can make a pair of 20's for drop sets.
