Imagine making enough to buy 1 house a year...

My FIL is an engineer, and he made $60K in the 80s. Even to this day, he still only makes $60K.

The cost of his house was also $60K. How were people struggling to afford homes in the day? Srs

If I was making enough to buy a new $500K home a year, I would not be struggling at all.

There are still a lot of places in middle America where you can buy a home for 50k-150k.

If your willing to leave Coastal areas and major cities behind. It would be perfectly feasible to find a place you can buy cash and work 20-30h a week to pay your bills/live... If that's your prerogative.

Accounting major and never heard of taxes and living expenses? Sure I could buy a house a year if I was homeless and didn't have to pay taxes or child support.
