"If Ivermectin Were An Effective Txmt The Vax Wouldn't Have Emergency Authorization"
Recent clip from the DarkHorse podcast wherein Bret and Heather speculate that ivermectin as a potential drug to prevent and treat COVID appears to be being actively suppressed.
Book Report:
The men who discovered ivermectin were awarded a Nobel prize. Ivermectin lost patent protection in 1996.

So it was a safe drug when they made a lot of money for it. Now that it is cheap and anyone an make it the drug isn't safe to use.
Next they talk about an AP "fact check" about ivermectin which claims that the drug is of no worth in treating COVID. Said fact check references the two idiots that made themselves ill drinking fish tank cleaner which is completely unrelated. Essentially ivermectin is being associated with hydroxychloriquine which is a completely different drug.
The running explanation has been that the studies which suggest ivermectin is effective don't meet "the gold standard", which is no real argument at all. It is an argument that you might want to do a better study.
Who benefits from preventing a real evaluation of ivermectin's effectiveness for the treatment and spread of COVID?
Pharmaceutical corporations.
And, relevant to another thread, Heather makes the point that if you need to get boosters for the vaccine then it appears that immunity via vaccine may not be any better than immunity via prior infection if both types of immunity are temporary.
If ivermectin works and you can administer it to anybody then that provides a third group that would be resistant to contracting the disease.
Then there is the possibility that the vaccinated may still contract and spread the virus.
In a study of front line workers in Argentina 800 got ivermectin, 400 did not. None of those who were treated with prophylactic ivermectin contracted the disease while over half of those who were untreated did.Heather mentions that the fact that the 800 did not become ill doesn't absolutely mean that they were unable to spread the virus and Brett agrees that needs further research.
Bret and Heather self-identify as "vaccine hesitant" due to lack of long term data, not generally anti-vax FWIW.
Book Report:
For emergency use to be authorized there must be:
a] Serious or Life-Threatening Disease or Condition
b] Evidence of Effectiveness
c] Risk Benefit Analysis
d] No Alternatives

"By not doing the relevant large scale clinical studies on ivermectin and thus it not being approved by the FDA for use in COVID, that opens the door for EUAs [Emergency Use Authorizations] for the vaccines that we are now all living with."
-Heather Heying
-Heather Heying
"This would have elements of malpractice, this would be gross negligence. I think it verges on depraved indifference, given that we are talking about a life or death situation for vulnerable people that get this disease in addition to effectively the crippling of the world economy and who knows how much harm. We will never be able to measure all the harm that came from this pandemic and the way it has forced us to alter our behavior; all the businesses that have closed, all the people who have been rendered homeless. Who's to say what all of the costs actually are if this is effective?"
- Bret Weinstein
The co-hosts proceed to make the case that there is significant evidence that ivermectin is effective for treating COVID and also prevents contraction of the illness via a prophylactic dose which is known to be safe as there are countries where long term prophylactic use has been proven safe.- Bret Weinstein

This is part of the reason I more than likely will not be getting the vaccine. I don't think there is major risk taking it, but it is clear Covid became tool for political gain with wins and losses on certain issues.

ivermectin is an antiparasite. Not sure what level of google doctor people are to assume it will work on a virus lmao. SO i looked and it does have some effect but the issue is the concentration required
Rationale
Ivermectin has been shown to inhibit the replication of SARS-CoV-2 in cell cultures.13 However, pharmacokinetic and pharmacodynamic studies suggest that achieving the plasma concentrations necessary for the antiviral efficacy detected in vitro would require administration of doses up to 100-fold higher than those approved for use in humans.14,15 Even though ivermectin appears to accumulate in the lung tissue, predicted systemic plasma and lung tissue concentrations are much lower than 2 µM, the half-maximal inhibitory concentration (IC50) against SARS-CoV-2 in vitro.16-19 Subcutaneous administration of ivermectin 400 µg/kg had no effect on SARS-CoV-2 viral loads in hamsters. However, there was a reduction in olfactory deficit (measured using a food-finding test) and a reduction in the interleukin (IL)-6:IL-10 ratio in lung tissues.20
Overall a bad choice based on our current knowledge without further testing and evaluation. This would be no different than loading up on rat poison because it hurts the virus too (hypothetically)

You can get Ivermectin horse paste for like 5 bucks online and just dose accordingly. A lot of people have done it and gotten over Covid or completely avoided contracting it. It’s as safe as aspirin and is a true wonder drug. Do research

And yeah, the wonders of modern medicine can be pretty incredible….but again, just look at where we are now from a mental and physical health standpoint.

The same type of people who have no problem being weary of "Big Oil" trying to influence the climate debate seem to have zero ability to rationalize that all of these pharmaceutical giants have all the incentive in the world to shut down any alternative to mandatory distribution of millions of new vaccines which will bring in BILLIONS of dollars in revenue.

Ivermectin and hydroxychloroquine (WITH ZINC*) have been known, effective treatments for over a year.
Hydroxychloroquine + zinc was a known treatment for the first sars epidemic
Fraudxi's HCQ study DID NOT use zinc
