Jujitsu brahs..

What inspired you to take it up? The jujitsu brahs at my gym all look the same… kind of odd looking.. really don’t know how you can ‘roll’ on the floor with another man for over an hour everyday.

Srs… what’s the deal Boyos?

Its a combat martial art like anything else

Wrestling, mma, etc.

U call them weird cuz they train constantly, but that's how you get better. You'd probably get balled up by a kid in his first week lmfao

Not sure what “balled” up means, craphat.

And yeah, that wouldn’t happen. Would teep the freak then roundhouse it into eternity.

My older brother was into fighting and brought me along. I think it's good self-defense but not as useful if you don't know boxing/muay thai or some other standup type of fighting.

We actually had some chicks join and just did the same chit with them. I think it is also taught to military and LEO for practical reasons. Like knowing how to make people physically submit with chokes or limb breaks can be useful in a real situation.

There’s a school of thought that jujitsu is for low test brahs… honestly, the evidence is pretty damning. Majority of them who train at my gym are vegan types lol. All twinky looking.

It's great exercise/cardio. It's a chance to learn a new skill and it's fun to try to beat your opponent by applying new things you've learned. Same with literally any sport like wrestling or w/e. How is it hard to understand the appeal? Unlike most of the misc, not everyone thinks that merely touching another person makes them gay so nobody has a problem with contact while learning a contact sport....

There were some odd characters in the class though. The weirdest was this dude with a superman and bizarro tattoo on each shoulder who would wear swim trunks and just randomly talk about how he would let people pay him to kick him in the nuts in high school, or he would randomly bring up the subject of Japanese female pubic hair wigs.

There was also a Mexican gangster with a bunch of prison tattoos, a guy with an Aryan Nation prison tattoo, and this absolutely massive tall fat bald guy called Bob who was impossible to grapple. The instructor claimed to have trained for a period under Anderson Silva and it's really where I learned the fundamentals of boxing and grappling. I do think it might attract strange characters though.

ftfy to show your true concerns...

Imagine being so insecure in your sexuality that you feel concerned about physical close contact with another man, while actively trying to strangle them or snap a limb.

It's hands down the most fun hobby I have ever had, and this is coming from a snowboard, surf, skate, and guitar brah. It's the mental aspect mostly for me, because it truly is a sport where technique prevails over just strength/size/whatever.

Also, it's Jiu jitsu

as with most hobbies and interests, it's gonna be filled mostly with weirdly passionate, dedicated people, with a few normies trying out something new sprinkled throughout.

I don't do jiu jitsu, but I have recently been considering taking it up since I used to do high school wrestling and want to get back into something similar.
