Just had one of those jackazzez come to my home saying they weren’t a salesman because they had ‘nothing to sell.’ Why you may ask? Well because the solar panels are free of course!

Except they’re not

These people will try and entice you with a no money down, no installation cost for a solar system for your home. The catch is, you’ll have to enter in to a Solar Lease or Power Purchasing Agreement (PPA) with the company (both are leases). Since you don’t own a lease, the 26% tax credit goes to the installation company as well as any state or local incentives (which can add up).

Them bishes also essentially own your roof and can place a lien on your home if you don’t pay up. With PPAs, you pay by KwH and they can introduce an escalator rate that could make you pay more for solar power in the future than with your electric utility company.

Nothing wrong with solar, but if you’re going to go that route, purchase the system out of pocket or get a bank loan. That way, YOU own your system and you get the tax credits. Every time I see these people I want to punch these vultures in the face. They prey on the ignorant by telling them half truths and flat out lies. They’re middle men. Completely useless...just leeching off of government incentives. The ONLY way they could even be remotely useful is if you got bad credit, no cash, and don’t give a fugg about your home...but these people have bigger problems if you ask me.

Cliffs: pushy FREE solar installers are scams. Pay cash or get a loan for your own system. You’re whackum miskers.

i get alot of those door salesman pushing solar, i keep putting it off but eventually im going to have to bite the bullet. I do agree with you that its better to buy the system than lease it.

If you need roofing repairs, most companies won’t deal with them

Not only that, you alienate a lot of buyers when selling your home. Nobody wants that contract.

Those people are crazy. Those are the same people that are in debt over their eyeballs and don’t bat an eyelash. They’d be willing to pay on average $40,000 more for new construction because of lumber prices...insane. Would legit live out of a van down by the river than pay that. Literally throwing money away. Lol when housing market collapses and instantly loose tens of thousands of dollars in equity overnight...
