rate my new business idea

so with covid and all the social distancing bs they made gyms at lower capacity and with time limits which made me appreciate even when the gym is packed and had to wait for equipment

so i came up with two new ventures

1. you can hire someone to go workout with you and reserve equipment that your about to use next while ur on your current machine

2. you can pay vip membership and will allow you to kick people off the machine they are using when you need it like flash pass at amusement parks
Ambatukam!!!!!

why would a gym allow their existing paying customers to get kicked off equipment

and if this is a good idea, why would the gym allow it to be done through a 3rd party, rather than themselves?

at best it would be an app that you designed and sold to them that manages the reservations

OP, it's not a bad idea. However it will be very hard to implement. You'll have to speak with the manager of the gym and they are very strict people. They're not going to make an exemption for anyone.

Restrictions will probably be fully lifted within .5 to 1 year so it's probably not worth the effort to pursue this idea.

Keep up with the problem solving mindset though. We need more of that.

That's not nice. People come up with bad idea's all the time. It's a part of the road to success. You can't utterly destroy someone like that. You'll create a hostile environment and no one will want to improve anything.

Even Steve Jobs was nice to his closest engineers. He didn't shoot down bad ideas. He shot down bad implementations of good ideas.
