How can you live a life of adventure in the modern world?

All of the property and space is owned by someone. There are laws that you get you in trouble for everything from walking through someone's property to getting in a barfight, to being in possession of certain plants. I feel so down with my life of work and paying bills. What can be done to make a life worthy of a story?

Bruh the most interesting people you meet have the saddest stories. Stability is not a bad thing.

I've got some crazy stories man but they come from places of hardship and struggle. Places with gunslinging and stories of crazy risk and revenge are not happy places.

Just learn to appreciate the simple things, like you are experiencing them for the first time. Go travel to some places in your country or overseas that are not seen as touristy.

Going into the natural wildnerness is also probably the purest form of adventure, especially for long periods at a time. I would say that I've led an adventurous life, but these adventurous times were hard times and I would not want to raise a family in that.

life sucks being a pleb

brb go spend 9-10 hours a day at work
brb get home and spend an hour making food/lunch for next day
brb want to "do something" but to tired and lazy af anyway
brb just watch tv/misc/fap all night
brb wake up and do the same routine again and again until you die
brb weekends just get wasted to forget the routine

I'm a modern plebeian and I don't spend all my time working, but there are a lot of very interesting and adventurous jobs out there. There is more to life than consuming media. Life is what you make of it.

If anything, being super rich is boring as there is no real struggle or challenge in life. That's why they turn to us for entertainment and interesting stories/culture that they can live vicariously through.

Fuk adventure when modern society makes it so easy to just go straight to the dopamine frying phase. I use a cocktail of video games, fast food, hard liquor, porn, and options gambling to make myself feel OK with sitting alone inside a 1br/1ba box for 23 hours a day.

or you can live like a travelling hobo and rack up a lot of cool memories but be light years behind if you ever decide you want to establish a life of any permanence--put simply, its out of the question for 99.99% of people

day by day i'm more and more disillusioned by modern life. not sure what to do about it but in the meantime I keep doing productive things

I've done a lot of traveling and had a short stint as a hobo, I would have rather had a place the whole time though. I definitely did not enjoy being homeless.

I wouldn't describe the memories as "cool" either, saw even more chit while living in the ghetto. However, I was not light years behind as I was working the whole time, and eventually I got a white collar job that paid better than some of the people I knew with degrees and student debt.

I think modern life is interesting, but I do think that consumerism is a pretty hollow experience. There is more substance in things that are real and meaningful.

Even lifting doesn't matter as you get older because everyone is out of shape after 35

I chase storms but even sometimes when i stop at a place like a grocery store or something to watch the storm i realize it's owned by someone and they might tell me to get off their lawn lol

in regards to cool memories, i meant more living like travel vloggers on youtube...travelling to exotic places and changing locales frequently, checking sights and spots off a list. obviously being straight up homeless is not anybody's idea of a good time

I've made a lot of memories traveling, hanging out with friends and enjoying hobbies. Honestly I think the most rewarding experience I had was when I went to Wyoming 2 weeks ago. I saw tons of museums, national parks and other sites. The air was clean, very few people and just a surreal experience compared to a city or Connecticut.

You'll laugh I'm sure, but I pulled over to stretch my legs and take a break from driving on my way to wind river canyon. There were no cars, no bugs, wind, animals or ANY noise. I was literally the only human for miles. It was an incredible feeling, and I felt at peace. Taking a piss right then was almost euphoric lmao

I do think it would be cool to travel around the world for a while, I considered that when I got my first well-paying remote job a few years ago. Not for a show or anything but just to do it.

I guess I just prefer having a stationary base of operations, then again it's probably mostly because of my dog. He is great and I'm not sure how I would factor in the whole international thing with that.
