Squatting and deadlifting
Is it a bad idea for recovery and hitting the same muscles if you squat one day and deadlift the day after?
Should I add a rest day in between?
What does your squats and deadlifts split look like?
I've usually squatted and deadlifted on the same day, but I want to change it up.

What do you consider heavy? 80-90% of a one rep max?

I deadlift heavy on Sunday, Squat heavy on Tuesday and it's fine. You should give yourself at least a day off in between if you're going heavy.
If you're built to deadlift, you can probably do it 3-4 times a week with no issues. If you're NOT built to deadlift, less is better.

i've done it before, no problems with it
just don't go balls to the wall and go for maxes on consecutive days, you'll be fine.
my favourite way of doing is going for say a heavy squat 1 day, next day maybe sets of 10 on RDL, on another day do heavy deadlifts
you could probably even do it on the same day if you wanted, provided they aren't both max effort, but may require some tinkering.
