let down in the history of Pearl jam? I remember never being a big Perl jam fan. Vedder had a uniqueness to his voice I only thought sounded good in a handful of their songs. Guitarist was solid.


Yellow Ledbetter live on the Tibetan Freedom Cd was the best version of this imo.

Besides that and the obvious Jeremy and a few others I’m blanking on he wasn’t a favorite.


But when Pearl Jam Yield came out I was so excited because Creed had just released the single of ‘my own prison’...

My Gf said it was Pearl jam because we didn’t know who creed was at that the time. For my Bday she bought me YIELD....

I opened it and searched terrible song after terrible song that sounded like Vedder on ecstasy while drinking whiskey on a rollercoaster. Yet no creed was found.


Looking back creed was nothing to Pearl Jam but they came out of the gate with srs potential, their guitarist is still a beast.


If not in agreement what’s the biggest let down album wise in your past?

The problem with Pearl Jam is that Ten is an amazing album and holds up fairly well today, and yeah yellow ledbetter and elderly woman are great songs, but NONE of their subsequent albums really worked. They had a few more hits but just couldn't put together a cohesive 30-40 minute set
