both were great but collins was to me a better all around musician/song writer. i mean his solo stuff was phenomenal

Rutherford and Banks saved Phil Collins from his worst tendencies in the band. Peter Gabriel is too weird for me.

rutherford and banks were both great in their own rights. especially rutherford. loved mike and the mechanics. many good songs.
cant take anything away from gaberial. he is totally different from collins in many ways.

phil collins is probably on my top 5 favorite singers/band list
