been lifting 10+ years

once you reach genetic potential and strength gains pretty much top out there's just not that same motivation

in, been struggling with this for the past year.

Would love the insight

Been thinking about dropping down to 1-2 days per week full body to just maintain. vs 4-5 days/week currently.

What are your lifts? Maybe implement some strongman/Olympic weightlifting or calisthenics movements?

Switch up your routine. A friend of mine got bored and decided to instead of doing weights rather focus more on explosive work like jumps. He already deadlifted 285kgs at 71kg BW, took him a year but his vert leap is his own height now.
And yes his deadlift didnt tank either.

As you get older you will realise that maintaining a Healthy fit and pain free body far outweighs the need for developing pointless and largely non functional muscle.

Lifting heavy weights while being an ego boost will knacker you in the end.

Regular circuit style exercises, boxing training and playing some form sport is far more important and enjoyable.
Stay lean and mean not big and bulky your heart and joints will thank you

How could you know your potential? I think you don't know yours yet because 10 years are just the beginning.

I've been lifting and doing other physical activities for over 45 years and my focus wasn't always on lifting. Sometimes it's martial arts, sometimes it's riding a bike, and other times it's something else but I always discover something new I didn't know in each activity.

Life is long, therefore, has many phases. Sometimes it happens that things are becoming monotonous. What you might need is to change your focus, the way you're looking at things and doing them, and maybe even switch things up a few. Just find the way to change your focus by stepping back a little and asking yourself what your major concern in your life is right now.

Although it might take months or years, eventually you'll find a renewed sense of hope and motivation so until then keep lifting with a more relaxed attitude,

But never quit.

Good luck.

Felt that way about calisthenics. Once you get one arms chins and front levers the returns on your training get less and you start to get injuries. I still haven't done much weights though.

the gym is the means to an end for me - to get fit/stay fit. but it's also very social for me. for me, it's almost as good or better than going to the bar/happy hour. and it doesn't cost me any money for drinks or cost me a hangover the next morning. i see and talk to HBBs and gym bros and get into the occasional altercation. i get in, get my workout done quickly/efficiently/effectively and leave, but it's also fun and a social outing.

I enjoy the whole social aspect of the gym, pretty much my only social life outside of work. I was starting to get bored of my routine, and was going to switch it up but then gyms got closed during the lockdown. Been doing bodyweight stuff and home and now I’m excited to hit the gym as soon as it opens.

Why not set new goals and change it up? Try out some new equipment or lift and see how good you can get?

There’s always a new challenge waiting.
