"Punk" band sticking it to the vax refusers and FL Governor

Promotor of Teenage Bottlerocket gig charges $18 for vaccinated fans, $999 for non-vax fans

As reported by CNN, a Florida concert promotor has a unique and controversial pricing plan for an upcoming Teenage Bottlerocket show. On June 26, Paul Williams is hosting a show at VFW post 39 in St. Petersburg, Florida. If you provide proof of vaccination, tickets are $18. If you do not, you can still buy tickets for $999 each.

The promotor stated: "To be eligible for the DISCOUNT, you will need to bring a government issued photo ID and your PHYSICAL COVID-19 Vaccination Record Card (if you have lost it keep reading, we got you). You will need to have had your second shot of Pfizer or Moderna, or your single shot of Johnson and Johnson COVID-19 vaccine on or before 6/12/2021. If you do not care about the discount, tickets are available for a flat rate of $999.99. Note that all staff, volunteers, and band members will be vaccinated. Also know if you buy one of these advance tickets and show up without your vaccination card or government issued photo id, you won't be let in at this price, you will need to pay the remaining $981.99 to enter or go back and get your card. There will be NO REFUNDS. We are NOT telling you what to do here, we are making a business decision and letting the market decide. If someone wants to come in unvaccinated, they will scare off a large number of patrons and will need to pay the difference."

By getting the vaccine you're saying you believe the vaccine will prevent the virus from harming you or even if you did get it somehow, the effects would be drastically lessened.

You're also saying that others need to get vaccinated so that everyone is safe.

So either you don't believe the vaccine is as effective as you claim it to be or you simply are unwilling to allow someone else to have a differing opinion on an issue that you are safe from personally.

Please tell me how this is logical at all? Either the **** works and you're good, or it doesn't work as well as we'd have hoped and you've been lying. So which is it? See the thing is if you admit the vaccine isn't as good as it is claimed to be then less people would get it since "what's the point, it doesn't work that well". If you are saying it's perfect or close to it, then you'll still have people saying "what's the point, since you're already safe why does it matter if i get covid?".

If I don't want to ride a bike with a helmet that's my choice and if I get my head splattered then it's on me since helmets were available to everyone equally. If you want to wear one and feel safe that's cool and smart of you, but me not having it on doesn't increase your chances of getting hit in the head and if it did, you'd still have the helmet on anyway.

I can't go on with this **** anymore it's ****ing insane to still be on about this.
