Misc Homosexuals GTFIH - how do you feel about Pride branding and marketing?

Misc homosexuals, I saw some breakfast cereals, potato chips, and other consumer products branded with rainbows and other homosexual symbols since it is Pride month. Now in the spirit of fairness I think a question needs to be asked here:

Do you feel empowered and appreciated by this marketing and branding? Does it make you feel accepted and victorious when Tony the Tiger, Spongebob, etc, come out in support of you?

Or do you feel like a pack of craven corporations are cashing in on your sexual behaviors in order to score points with the media and look tolerant?

Or is there some other feelings that this stuff elicits?

I would point out that back when it wasn’t popular to support the gays, these corporations were not very interested in you. But seriously, what do you make of it all?

This. Had a really close gay friend in college (no homer?) and he, his other half, and basically all their friends (even said most of the community itself felt this way) said they dont understand the need or desire to just put it in peoples faces. Likened it to just wanting attention if anything. They joked and said "You dont introduce yourself to someone and say hi im twovalvebruh and im straight." No. You dont.

I actually support people exploring certain aspects of human sexuality in new ways though probably not on public streets, but I'm still confused what in the world T and Q has to do with sexual orientation. If people want to add a million letters to it, they can do so but leave actual homos alone. The only lack of inclusion I see comes from the swaths of fetishists invading and encroaching on the space of a minority they've bullied for years to capitalize off of LGB gains. Now it's just technocrats and "queer" AKA straight people who are feeling a case of the specials now that LGB presents an actual threat to their sexist, reductive worldview.

Feels like corporatized misogyny for straight people who want to safely feel like they're breaking rules.

They’ve added a “2” to the acronym lately. Frankly, I find it discriminatory against those who identify as three spirit, 19 spirit, 337 spirit. Wouldn’t an infinity symbol be more inclusive?

Couldn't imagine supporting total degeneracy like this, just as long as it's not on the public streets!

I will never understand the 2 spirit nonsense. It seems almost identical to trans activists co-opting intersex.
