Its official now, Covid crisis has made everyone incomplete

I can feel it in the air since the last year or so, is it only me or is everyone just turning empty? Masks, new variants and vaccinations are a reminder that things haven't returned to normal yet. All the loved ones seem like strangers now, all the memories, moments and events before the Covid feel like so distant now...its like I try to be happy and give myself hope, but it just breaks down in a few hours.., sad as it is we will have to live with this emptiness for many years now. We had viruses like this before, but now we were living in a very progressive era so the things hit us even harder or is it just the act of media?

Im feeling the same vibes. Feels like people have checked out somehow versus trying to gain an understanding of WTF is actually going on.

The societal implications of these lockdowns are insane with some medical professionals making a strong case they qualify as a "mass causality" incident. Weve never had "viruses" like this before that ended in the upheaval of fundamental pillars of society.

Ive tried to reach out to some friends some months ago to see how things are holding up and most people now don't even wanna talk or act irked when you mention anything related to current events.

At this current rate, society will be unrecognizable in a mere few years. Sounds like that's the plan though with these arrogant government elites prattling the "new normal" slogan around like its a new flavor of ice cream.

Life has not changed much from the lockdowns for me, I mostly keep to myself anyways. I think it's all in your head my man, sounds like you've got some stuff to sort through.

The world is not gonna end if you take a break from big media corporations. Sometimes ingesting too much of the garbage they push will mess with your head.

I think OP is referring to others, the average everyday person, not himself. Hes not wrong either. The average person has had their heads completely fuked over the past year. I very rarely speak of it any longer as people just think you're nuts, but the last time I was chatting to an older family member I mentioned the fact that flu cases are entirely gone and now only covid cases exist.. their answer? Because everyone is wearing masks now and caused the flu to disappear.. lol. Its a lost cause. Most people are incapable of thinking for themselves anymore.

It's because of echo chambers and algorithms

People had better critical thinking skills pre 2015 or so imo although lack of critical thinking has been going on since probably the 70s

I hope we reach a point soon where the world leaders accept this thing is with us and start opening up again. There is no action plan and the financial and health implications of shutting everything down for years will take years to recover from.

Unless there's a new mutation where we go hard lockdown again for another 2 years.

Most people piss me off so who cares
brb haven’t met one vaxcel who doesn’t get defensive or mad when you tell them you didn’t get it.

No “vax” for HIV after 40 years of research. No vax for cancer after 100 years of research. No vax for the common cold and yet a virus mysteriously appears and Within 12 months a “vax” is found by 4 pharma companies all within 1 week and we are mandated to take it ….

I wouldnt say it has effected everyone but I get what OP is saying. In my circle, we never really changed our social habits covid restrictions or not. So we all kept our sanity over the last 18 months. I have some family and some co workers that took it really hard and it shows, both when you talk to them and when you see them. Everyone of those people seem strung the fuk out almost like they have been stressing for the last year and a half non stop. In a venn diagram, the "stressed from covid" and "I believe the media/govt without question" pretty much overlap completely.

Glad I don't live in a **** hole state.

I've worked in person this entire time
my children have gone to school in person

literally business as usual except having to wear some stupid pointless masks while grocery shopping (done now).

Hell, I even attended a 200+ person wedding last fall.

Covid has exposed the real disease - the lack of critical thinking among your average human. My trust in humanity not just with covid but with how they are handling technology is dwindling. I think eventually it's going to be a very small % of people with access to biological altering technology in the future and the rest will just be worker bees.

Basic forgone logic seems gone, you talk to people about the latest issues and you cannot understand how a fully grown adult brain can come to their conclusions/views. It's not about narcissism or just myself thinking I am always correct, I am talking about common sense thinking patterns that seemed normal and now that aren't. Race, gender, sex, social politics, economics systems, the government etc all basic stuff but now it's like there's a fresh canvas and insanity is taking over.

At this point I've really cut-back how I argue or investment my time. Even on the misc, I am just letting things slide all the time. Usually if I am debating incessantly with someone IRL It's because I value their opinion and think they can 1. Change 2. Maybe present something to change me. If I just sort of nod, be placating then it means I couldn't give a sh*t about you and whether you got hit by a bus one hour later.

The great reset boyos.

While doomers were busy worrying about a 99.99% survivable virus, the global economy suffered, food prices increased, and supply chains were decimated, and inflation is about to soar

All so some low IQ people could feel safe.
