Yea sure if you never really had a big appetite.

I can easily go over calories by eating a few handful of cashews lol.

Not sure how that’s harder than cutting

I honestly think that comes down to the individual. Good luck, brah.
The closer we approach the uncertainty of life's ending the more we wish to trade all of the things we have acquired in exchange for all of the things we have lost: wealth for youth, knowledge for fresh curiosity, resignation for hope. We'd trade our wisdom for new experiences, but it is wisdom that will teach us that at the end of the road the only new experience is death.

Ya bulking is also expensive as fuark compared to being whatever about your diet, skip a few meals here and there no problemo, or cutting when you can eat crunchy vegetables to feel full af (srs).

This. If you are eating at maintenance and want to gain ~2# a month that's literally just 2.5 tablespoons of peanut butter extra per day. What kind of sissy ******* can't eat 2 spoonfuls of PB?

Sometimes. A few years ago so much food was being cooked at home I probably ate like 3500+ calories for the day. Now it’s more settled down but still manage to get 3000k in sometimes.

Cliffs; it’s not easy unless you have a lot of food being cooked at home or eat out a lot

A "proper " bulk would be 200-400 cals over maint/day......that's hard for you?

pffffffttttt

I could see how you might think a "dreamer" bulk would be hard but doing it correctly at slightly above maintenance is WAYYYYY easier than restricting calories to do a proper cut...especially if you have any kind of social life and arent single...assuming your partner isnt as serious about it as you.

I think bulking is easier, if not more expensive. All I have to do is eat more, and my appetite is through the roof anyways when I'm heavily exercising. Bulking is actually enjoyable as I am eating large meals and staying healthy.

Cutting requires more discipline and you are foregoing large meals. It is less expensive, but bulking doesn't require much self-restraint.

Of course with zero self-restraint then you are eating like you are bulking but not actually exercising.

I think that is a privilege, as not everyone has access to a lot of food.

Agreed. Cutting is easy af if you’ve pushed your calories high and your body’s acclimated to those high calories.

Agreed. I feel like its easier to "over do it" on a bulk.

I think its also on an individual bases. There are cheat codes for both(appetite suppressants for a cut, mass gainers or nuts/nut butters for a bulk).

That said, on a cut, im less worried about maybe being under my calories than on a bulk being worried I am too high for my calories, but again, thats a personal thing.

The exact opposite is true for me. Cutting is damn near impossible. I do OMAD while eating only meat and veggies, and unless I leave myself a little bit hungry after the meal, I’ll maintain weight. If I eat until I’m satisfied even for that one meal, I’ll maintain or gain weight.

Maybe I need to cut down on the olive oil when cooking.

I don’t think “bulking” is the hard thing. I think it’s bulking without getting fat that’s hard.

“Not fat just bulking”. Way too easy to have an extra serving of potatoes with your steak when bulking - you’re trying to gain weight right? So it’s ok, you need the extra calories.

Then before you know it you’ve downed a whole bag of oreos and a family size doritos and are now in a 2000 surplus

Either or, it simply comes down to willpower. The only caveat is a dirty bulk. That chit is easy.

Agreed. I try to get all my food 5-6 hours before I go to sleep too and I'm shoveling food all day into my mouth (2700 cal cut). Makes me bloated and tired which sucks for focus

3300 calories a day crew and still got abs, this is lean bulk. Bulk probably gonna end on 4k calories

My advice is get used to home made blended smoothies that are over 1000 calories

This is why i eat the same foods everyday, only my dinner changes, breakfast is always the same and the snacks alongisde and i always have the same smoothie which is over a 1000 calories. But my meals change, whether i'm going out or to someones house etc.

But yeah, lean bulking is not that easy
