Just checked out a small forest fire
Was about 60'x30' when we got there. heard about fire, jumped into boat with fire pump and hoses and drove out to check it out. Only grass, but could have spread into something much bigger. Good news it was on an island.
Powerline guys were clearing a tree that was touching the line, and a shower of sparks started the fun...
Another guy arrived with a pump seconds before we did and the powerline guys started hosing stuff down, so got some pics and left. You can see the tree touching the wires in the pic.
Every year we end up running out on the water and helping put a fire out. Damn dry weather.
