Anyone else excited AF for a modern setting next-gen BF game?



U.S.A. and Russia stand at the brink of war. Proxy wars have waged for decades, generating experienced but displaced combat veterans.

These Specialists use their skills to shape the future — a future worth fighting for.

Battlefield 2042 introduces 7 vast maps for up to 128* players. From Seoul’s cities to Egypt’s deserts, every map offers a unique experience based on the natural environment.

Customize weapons, gadgets and vehicles in-battle to tip the scales in your favor. Summon a robotic dog built for battle, employ a grappling hook or don your very own wingsuit.

Choose your role on the battlefield and form hand-tailored squads through the new Specialist system. Based on Battlefield’s four Classes, Specialists have one unique Specialty and Trait – but the rest of the loadout is fully customizable.
-Battlefield 2042 is so called as it takes place 20 years after Battlefield 4.
-Crossplay appears to be delayed due to the PS4 and Xbox One being unable to “handle it”.
-Maps in Battlefield 2042 appear to be the largest in the series’ history and include controllable territories known as sectors with points assigned to parts of them.
-One such map is apparently called ‘Shelf’ and takes place in Antarctica, it’s described as a large cliff akin to Damavand Peak from Battlefield 3.
-64v64 matches
-Levolution, and updated traversal mechanics including wingsuits, grapplehooks, and ziplines.

Comes out on October 15

War zone is bad IMO - the only good thing is the original map. Cross system gameplay has auto aim feature on consoles which gives advantage over PC.

Never really cared much for Battlefield, but looks like there is a Beta so I'll play that and see what it's all about. Don't think this will kill Warzone unless they have a Battle Royale mode that is better.

Also whenever IW drops MW2, I think it's game over for everyone else.

But if these games release on the previous gens, they're gunna suck.

I've never gotten into BF because the controls feel awkward. And also the maps were way too big.
