LMAO At Wageslaves That Train Their Foreign Layoff Replacement

Yesterday they swung the axe, all IT contractor jobs are being sent to India.

They "expect" you to be a professional and to stay to the end and train your replacement. I was surprised at how many people were going to stay to the end instead of finding a job and getting the f@ck out.

Great replacement is not a joke.

Timeframe was asked and they were totally noncommittal. So it could be today, tomorrow, next week or next month.

We definitely need more diversity.

This is nothing new. I worked where they frequently sent things to ****** There are a few of them that are really competent but most of the time if they weren't doing very easy stuff we spent more time correcting their work. Very counter-intuitive in my opinion. Much better to invest in your home country's work force in most all scenarios. Even the company I work for now was outsourced for years and recently insourced because of incompetency.

We provide the infrastructure, laws, tax laws, etc... that allow you to be in business.

If you have no loyalty to the country where you operate you should be put out of business.

Companies always repeat this cycle:
Get upset with how much software engineers make.
Some dipchit MBA type thinks "we can outsource to save money"
Company flounders because dipchit MBA does not want to own mistake
Company ultimately pulls operations back.

There was another thread about this a while back. Some outsourcing replacements aren't on the same level as their Western counterparts.

Still outsourcing is coming from other countries as well.

Just improve your skillset as an individual contributor and know when to go when the writing is on the wall.

Improving your skillset no longer works. I am top tier and they sending all the jobs to India because they do not want to pay.

This happened to my dad when he worked for Shell :/ Got two years salary as a redundancy bonus though, now works from home, flexible hours and still making decent money.
