Some people on this forum are just retarded. You're one of them OP. At no point has anyone said that vaccines are designed to prevent you catching it, their purpose is to reduce the chance of serious illness/death. If you actually read the article, it says the pair are asymptomatic, so therefore you could argue the vaccine has had some effect in making them not symptomatic/more ill instead.

I don't care either way, I'm neutral in that I have no qualms with people who get a vaccine and with people who don't, but at least don't look dumb in portraying a POV.

How so? A test is solely to identify who might have it and who might not. Reliability and sensitivity of testing is another matter.

This isn't what the aim of this thread is designed to argue. It was basically to say if you've been vaccinated, then you can't catch it, which isn't true.

A negative test not older than 72 hours was required in order to board. You still have time to get the virus in that period. Even if you tested everyone with a rapid test at the moment of boarding, it is possible to be in incubation phase at that moment and develop symptoms the next day. As everything else in this world, nothing is 100% efficient but it still makes a difference.

One of the reasons covid spread so rapidly as it did was because so many carriers were getting around town with 0 symptoms of even having the flu let alone covid. Yet you're arguing it's the vaccine that caused these cruiser vaxxcels to be asymptomatic. It's because majority of people who have had covid are asymptomatic regardless of whether or not they took the vaccine.

It’s not wrong for both statements to be true. You’re right in the fact that yes the majority of people who become infected are asymptomatic. I’m right in that vaccines can potentially make someone who may have had the conditions to be symptomatic (fat/other underlying medical conditions), become asymptomatic once infected instead.

Well yeah, I agree, apart from anyone who’s a fossil or an absolute wreck of a human being. That percentage isn’t exactly the same across all age groups now is it, albeit is still fairly low. But again, that’s not what the thread premise was about and is not what I’m arguing.

OP you should know by now that this virus is the deadliest thing in human history so we all need to get injected with a bunch of chit that makes us feel sick just to even slightly reduce the chance of getting it. That's still worth it just to save grandma. And you still need to stay home and let the government shut down your business because if you don't everybody will die.

That's an awfully convenient conclusion to make when 80% of people were asymptomatic.
